RECEPTIONIST
This position will welcome staff, vendors, and guests, answer the phone and direct phone calls appropriately, assist on project projects as requested.
Candidates should have excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously. Candidates should convey a smile and welcoming attitude both on the phone and as people come into the Church.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer the phone and direct the calls appropriately
- Answers questions about organization and provides callers with address, directions, and other information.
- Welcome on-site visitors, escort them to the appropriate location, making sure they feel welcome
- Handle all incoming and outgoing mail.
- Schedules appointments as needed or requested by other staff members
- Performs other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying, and collating.
- Facilities:
- Maintain facility guidelines on usage of building, equipment and resources
- Coordinate the scheduling of rooms and equipment for events that require facility rental or use
- Maintain equipment and building files, office equipment scheduled maintenance, repairs and supplies
- Oversee annual building inspections and catalog them for future reference
- Assist in the ordering of supplies needed for the maintenance department
- Purchase supplies needed for the café, for the office, and for other ministries as needed.
- Zoom Phone System:
- Recording assets
- Setting up new users
- Forwarding voicemails to appropriate users
- Calendar:
- Work with Exec. Assist of Operations to coordinate the Planning Center and Master Calendar
- Approve all building use requests
- Ensure all dates on the calendar are added correctly
- Maintain prayer cards, including pastoral follow-up and emailing prayer requests to prayer team
- Other administrative duties as needed
POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
- Qualified and confident to make independent decisions daily, addressing the best way to handle specific tasks.
- Ability to collaborate with other administrators and support personnel and management and clients regularly.
- Must be proficient in a variety of writing styles and communication, from creative to professional with a comprehensive understanding of sentence structure, punctuation, and spelling.
- Possess knowledge and efficiency of Microsoft Office Suite
- Confidentiality and discretion in all situations

- Organization, time management and task prioritization
- Professional communication ability both verbal and written.

DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS
The primary role of this Director of Communications is to oversee the communication strategy for a church to promote its mission, vision, and events.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop a multi-channel communications strategy driven by the church’s mission/vision/values
- Unify and align everyday messaging with the church’s voice, goals and priorities.
- Partner with church and ministry leaders to define, develop, and effectively communicate messages to church-wide, and specific audiences.
- Guide a team of staff/volunteers to implement effective communications strategies
- Ensure high-quality and high-impact communications reach both internal and external audiences
- Cultivate, lead, and manage the Communications Team Staff to ensure all projects are done in a timely manner
- Keep social media/website engaging and aligned with the digital ministry plan.
- Own and manage the church’s brand/identity.
- Participate in the creation of digital and print content
- Capture and share stories of life change and impact [stewardship videos]
- Working with media outlets and community organizations to promote church events and activities
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Have a strong understanding of communications strategy, writing/editing, graphic design and social media, with a high value on audience engagement.
- Strong background in photography preferred.
- Familiar with or can quickly learn and direct basic design principles utilizing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and Illustrator
- Able to recruit and train volunteer workers.
- Must be extremely comfortable working with computers and learning new software/ technology as needed
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Organized, creative thinker and highly productive, working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects
